The article summarizes the results of the pilot work carried out in "Gazprom Transgaz Yugorsk" and "Gazprom Transgaz Nizhny Novgorod", and reveals the main ways to reduce the consumption of fuel and energy resources for gas transportation, which have proven the most effective. The article postulates the need to achieve a comprehensive economic effect from the introduction of new technologies for managing the cost of resources for gas transportation, which can improve the energy saving program of Gazprom's enterprises. The effectiveness of the technology of automation of fuel and energy resources consumption planning based on mathematical modeling is justified.
