In the article the differences between classic mass media and web information resourses are analyzed, the conditions for the successful redeployment of classic mass media to the world web being grounded. The main condition of success for all mass media, including Internet resources, is the professionalism of the editorial staff, as well as the quality of information supplied for new generations of readers.
