About some types of renewable energy sources

Бесплатный доступ

The article presents the definition and typology of renewable energy sources. Energy is considered renewable when it is produced from a source that nature is constantly restoring, as opposed to energy dependent on sources that are being depleted. The author notes that solar (solar photovoltaic, solar thermal), hydroelectric, wind energy, biomass and geothermal energy are inexhaustible energy flows compared to the "energy reserves" extracted from fossil fuel deposits in the process of becoming rare: oil, coal, lignite, natural gas. Their use, dubbed "clean energy" or "green energy", produces very little waste and polluting emissions.
