Concerning the necessity for giving victim status to public legal entities in the modern criminal proceedings of Russia

The article studies a question of possibility of participation of constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the municipal formations, in criminal proceedings in the status of a victim. The author suggests a classification of types of harm inflicted to public law entities by a crime as a reason for their involvement in criminal proceedings, and determines the procedure of involvement of other persons to ensure their rights during the criminal proceedings.
