On the need to develop a method of application the results of the auto technical expertise when checking cases of insurance fraud

The purpose of the study is to draw the attention of insurers to the typical signs of a provoked accident in order to improve the practice of detecting cases of insurance fraud. According to the results of the study, it was found that insufficient attention is paid to the quality of materials when checking an insured event, the value of the results of an auto technical examination is taken into account depending on the possibility of contacting an expert in private, the methodology in the vast majority of cases is not developed systematically. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop methodological recommendations for insurance companies that will allow them to effectively resist the facts of insurance fraud. It is stated that the recommended procedure for applying such a technique will give the most pronounced effect, since insurance companies will not be required to pay serious material costs for its implementation, which will allow for a flexible approach to calculating the costs of attracting experts-automotive technicians and experts-tracologists.
