On prospects and sources of financing of sport development in Russia

The article considers the current state, problems and prospects of measures of state and non-state support for the development of the sphere of physical culture and sports in Russia. The key changes in the activities of public authorities to expand the sources of funding for the sports industry and popularize sports events are reflected, taking into account current changes in Russian legislation aimed at developing this subject area. Based on the results of the study, the problems of implementing the priority directions of the authorities for the development of the sports industry were identified, alternative sources of financial support for the development of sports were identified, subject to a reduction in budget funding.
