Robotization in mechanical processing industries is one of the components of the fourth industrial revolution. The solution that allows increasing productivity and quality of products, expanding bottlenecks with personnel today firmly occupies a leading position in the list of available tools for the development of medium-scale mechanical processing industries around the world. The topic of robotization has also been actively developed at Russian enterprises in the mechanical engineering industry. Despite the annual increase in the number of implemented industrial robots, the criteria for the readiness of production systems for the implementation of such complexes have not been formulated. Like any specialized tool, robotic complexes have certain requirements for the level of the organization's production systems, including personnel training, technological discipline, technical equipment, implemented digital accounting and production analysis systems. The article considers three robotic complexes based on turning and milling machining centers used in the mechanical processing of parts in the aviation industry and components of electric centrifugal pumps. The actual performance results of these complexes turned out to be far from the design ones: deviation of actual performance from the design one, drop in the performance of the complex due to the features of the workpiece and the launch batch, drop in the productivity of the section due to the features of the equipment. Based on these examples, the objective need for an integrated approach is substantiated, which will allow achieving actual performance indicators in accordance with the planned ones. A checklist of objective requirements for the organization of production is formulated using the example of an implemented project for the introduction of an industrial manipulator in a turning section, which allows assessing the readiness of production systems. The possible increase in the productivity of a section of two lathes equipped with an industrial manipulator for changing workpieces is calculated. A conclusion is made based on the results of the theoretical analysis and calculations.
