On approaches to continuing education in the library and information sphere (on the example of LNS RAS)

The article deals with library employees' training and professional development. The author explores models of improving library employees' skills using the LNS RAS' example employees and researches'. The competitiveness of modern libraries and future of librarianship depend on the availability of highly qualified personnel who are ready for lifelong learning. The importance of switching to distance work during unforeseen circumstances is emphasized.
