Legal nature of the EU punitive sanctions against the Russian Federation

The paper considered various legal aspects of punitive sanctions imposed by the European Union. A brief review of EU acts on general issues of international sanctions has been also discussed in the paper. Special attention was paid to examining EU legal acts, which impose sanctions against Russian citizens and legal entities in view of the situation in Ukraine.
