The article reveals the problems associated with the disposal of timber harvested in the forest area, leased to the electric grid organization for the construction of power transmission lines. The author notes the low economic efficiency of legal regulation of this type of forest use, justifies the need to introduce appropriate changes in forest legislation and proposes to include forests as an object of civil turnover in the list of real estate objects.
