On legal regulation in the field of adaptive physical culture and sports of people with disabilities in the Russian Federation

The article deals with a number of problems related to legal regulation in the field of adaptive physical culture and sports for persons with disabilities in the Russian Federation. The author touches upon issues relevant to Russian legislation, dictated by the need to form in our country a special branch of law aimed at creating legal conditions in the field of adaptive physical culture and sports. Analyzing the available legal base both within the framework of international law and the relevant domestic legal acts, the author draws attention to a number of existing legal conflicts, the specifics of the current Russian legislation, as well as the legal practice of some regions of the Russian Federation. In this context, article analyzes bedrock and objectives of physical culture and sports, and also establishes requirements for holding sports events, including events for people with disabilities within the framework of one of the main acts regulating adaptive physical culture and sports - the Federal Law «On physical culture and sports in the Russian Federation».
