About the subject of computer forensics

In recent years, there has been a sharp increase in crimes committed using information and telecommunication technologies in Russia, which requires the creation of a new direction - computer forensics. The emergence of a new scientific direction begins with the definition of its object and subject. Based on the analysis of available scientific publications and generalization of investigative and judicial practice, the article proposes to determine the types of illegal acts related to computer crimes and subject to consideration in the framework of computer criminology, the problems arising in this case are noted. The result of the work is the definition of the subject of computer forensics.
