One of the significant achievements of the agricultural sector of the economy in recent years, among other things, statistics show a decrease in the number of victims of occupational accidents. As part of the research, a statistical analysis of domestic and foreign data was carried out, which allowed us to determine the main reasons for the formation of positive dynamics of the state of occupational injuries. The positive effect is achieved by progressive solutions related to the introduction of modern technologies and equipment, increasing the level of automation of technological processes, the exception of manual labor in many operations. Also, the following factors have an impact on the statistics of injuries in agriculture: the ambiguous situation with the registration of occupational accidents, a decrease in the total number of employees involved in this field, the state of working conditions and other reasons. Analysis and practice show that employers often go to conceal accidents, agriculture is also characterized by a tendency to attract performers without registration of labor relations. As a result, statistical data on the state of occupational injuries in the industry are distorted. In addition, a third of all agricultural workers work in harmful working conditions, there are personnel problems with both working personnel and specialists. It is proposed to maintain the positive dynamics of the state of occupational injuries by implementing various state programs and strategies, including, inter alia, changing legislation within the framework of the «regulatory guillotine». The solution to these problems is seen in the thorough and comprehensive training of personnel for the agricultural sector, the introduction of sound state regulatory requirements for labor protection, a change in the approach to conducting control and supervisory measures, and real incentives for employers to improve working conditions.
