About the problem of identity identification

The article is devoted to the identification (identification) of a person. The article shows that representatives of classical sociology and social psychology, who defend the position of an objective socio-historical regularity of social development, also assert the determination of personality identification. In their opinion, a person is obliged to determine himself, and sometimes he is simply forced to identify his social goal (place in the system of economic relations, division of labor, in role interactions related to his status) in the existing system of economic and social relations, in the system of interrelations determined by cultural norms and prevailing values.
