On the regional level of food security of Russia

It is proving the incorrectness of the use in the conditions of market economy the phrase "''food independence of the region". The opinion on the controversial nature of the concept of "''food security in the region" it is argued. In the presence of a single food market in the country properly speak about regional specifics of the food products, the nature and extent of food according to regions, the reasons for the unbalanceness of agricultural production, equal state support to agricultural producers, etc.
