About the role of urban museums and local voluntary scientific societies in the development of the economy of the Yenisei province in the last quarter of XIX -beginning of the XX century

The problem of formation and development of economy of the Yenisei province had already been repeatedly and elaborately considered by various authors, but in one work its such aspect as very active participation in this process of the very first scientific institutions which arose in this territory in the last quarter of XIX - the beginning of the XX century was not covered so far: city museums and volunteer scientific organizations of various specialization. The purpose of the study was to prove that many of above-mentioned establishments had made a considerable scientific and practical contribution to the development of local agriculture (having applied in the province of a basis of selection of farm animals and plants for the first time, introducing the most advanced methods of housekeeping and modern farm vehicles, etc.). Besides, the staff of the museums and scientific organizations of the province made attempts to analyze the problems and prospects of local crafts, to organize the help to rural owners in sale of their agricultural and trade production, achieving, among other, decrease in transport tariffs, etc...
