About the role of merchants in the scientific study of the Yenisei province (the second half of XIXth - the beginning of XXth centuries)

The article considers the forms of the participation of the local merchants in the scientific study of the Yenisei province in the second half of XIXth - in the beginning of XXth centuries. The article focuses on the reasons of the merchants' support of scientific studies and the reasons of their participation in scientific activity, their scientific interests. The author analyses the scientific works of the Yenisei merchants and discover their role in the evolution of scientific potential of the Yenisei province.
