On the role of the national representation in the development of education in the Buryat-Mongol ASSR in 1920s-1930s

Based on the little-studied archival documents of the State Archive of the Republic of Buryatia, the article discusses the essence and directions of the national representation of the Buryat-Mongolian Autonomy (BMASSR) in the field of development of public education in the republic in 1920s-1930s. The representative office of the BMASSR was a significant structure linking the center and regional authorities in the implementation of state national policy. The author pays special attention to practical issues solved by the Representation in the formation of education in Soviet Buryatia.
