About schools of medieval Chinese Buddhism

The article gives the exposition of the medieval schools of Chinese Buddhism. It discusses a brief history of these schools formation, their basic canonical texts, history of these texts translation from Sanskrit into Chinese. A synopsis of philosophical and soteriological principles is given.
