About the relation between the concepts of tolerance and consent

The article defines the concepts of tolerance and consent, gives a brief analysis of the main forms of tolerance. We consider the relation between the concepts of tolerance and consent. It has been noted that specialists study the concept of tolerance more actively than the concept of consent. As a rule, the last is investigated in conjunction with tolerance. We analyze differences between tolerance and consent and consider a variety of definitions of the last. It is concluded that the concepts of tolerance and consent denote closely related and partially intersecting phenomena, each of which has a certain meaning and content. Their application allows scientists to research many aspects of interaction between actors in the modern world, where the ideas of parallel non-violent coexistence, different degrees of mutual interest, respect and understanding, and common values, trust and equality are relevant.
