About modern mechanisms of socio-economic development of the administrative district of the largest city (based on materials from Yekaterinburg)

Dynamic changes in environmental conditions necessitate the introduction of new mechanisms for managing the socio-economic development of territories, including those capable of ensuring its sustainability. The article presents the results of a study of modern mechanisms of socio-economic development of the administrative-territorial units of the largest city (on the example of the Zheleznodorozhny district of the city of Yekaterinburg), which are new forms of urban policy, such as "local" level strategizing, as well as participatory (initiative) design. The purpose of the study is to argue the advantages of the practical application of modern mechanisms for the socio-economic development of the administrative district of the largest city, i.e. at the "local" level. This article may be useful for students and graduate students in the field of study "State and municipal management", researchers, as well as practitioners involved in the socio-economic development of territories of various hierarchical levels.
