About modern trends of development of transnational corporations of the consumer sector

The article is devoted to modern trends in the development of transnational corporations in the consumer sector. In the context of globalization and the digital economy, consumer transnational corporations have experienced slowdowns in the market of developed countries, the emergence of powerful local competitors in fast-growing markets and a radical change in consumer behavior. Attempts to improve sales by traditional methods have been ineffective. In this situation, the leading multinationals in the consumer sector have begun the digital transformation of their activities. The article analyzes the successful digital strategy of the leading Anglo-Dutch multinational corporation Unilever, an example of which shows development directions for the largest Russian consumer companies.
