On specifics and tasks of a master program in international regional studies at an economic university in modern conditions

The tasks of academic and university science are quite particular and practical. The current situation and forecasts of the future development of Russia and Europe highlight the issue of the new quality for regional studies specialists. The problem of master training in international regional studies in economic universities requires a special attention. It is obvious that the economic education shall be at the forefront. However, the question is still open: which elements must be added to such basis and in which way. A good economist can produce a forecast of regional development, but this demands an additional training. This shall be considered in drafting of master programs in an economic university.
