About the status of sandpipers (Charadrii) in state nature reserve "Basegi"

The article considers the fauna of sandpipers in State Nature reserve "Basegi" and its vicinities. Here there are 20 species. 7 species of the nest, 9 observed in period of migrations, 2 (Tringa glareola and T. nebularia) observed on the post-breeding migrations, 1 (T. stagnatilis) - is stray. At 1 (Numenius arquata) residence status is unclear, it may nest. T. ochropus and Actitis hypoleucos the most numerous in the river valleys, T. ochropus and Scolopax rusticola - in the forest habitats, Gallinago gallinago - in the alpine meadows. Included in the Red Book Pluvialis apricaria, Eudromias morinellus, Haemantopus ostralegus, Gallinago mediа, Numenius arquata, N. phaeopus. In the reserve is only Gallinago mediа nests.
