About the structure of electronic digital forensics

The article is devoted to the issue of the structure of electronic digital forensics. The author states that recently, information and communication devices have been increasingly used to commit crimes. A number of theories expressed in forensics were devoted to considering the issues of traces left in these devices, conducting investigative actions with them, and the methods for investigating crimes committed with their use. The author analyzes the opinions of scientists dealing with similar issues, creatively processes them and, on this basis, suggests an internally non-contradictory structure of this particular theory. From the point of view of the author’s approach, the following sections can be distinguished in this theory: the conceptual foundations of the private theory of collecting, researching and using electronic digital information and its carriers, the conceptual foundations of individual sections of the private theory, the conceptual foundations of the use of the electronic digital environment by law enforcement agencies, the conceptual framework for investigating cybercrimes .
