The article presents an attempt to deduce three basic principles of Russian philosophy, namely: its universalism, its desire for efficiency and its expectation of the Messiah. The author seeks to prove that those principles were first formed in the works of Chaadayev, lately were developed in the Solovyov’s «vseedinstvo» [All-Unity] theory and finally spreaded over the entire surface of the national mind. Based on the works of Chaadaev three of the above principle are articulated. All of them in one way or another rely on the need to manifest the social role of the Orthodox Church. Further, the definition of Solovyov’s “All-Unity” Solovyov is stated. The analysis relies on the works of A. A. Ermichev, presented in the publication “Names and stories in Russian philosophy”. It is assumed that the further practical implementation of these principles is possible only in the body of the Church. The formulated principles are analyzed from the standpoint of Orthodox theology, ecclesiology and the dogma of the grace of the Holy spirit.
