On the importance of medium frequencies in ambient noise spectrum

Some measured data concerned with different areas of human activity are presented. It is shown that the excess of noise levels over the permissible levels is observed usually at medium frequencies. Therefore effective computing techniques and noise control methods and means are most urgent at medium frequencies.
