Influence of the geopolitical factor on the Russia North-West foreign economic activity: the problem of a regional and global tendencies conflict in the Baltic Sea region

Despite the concepts development of foreign economic potential (FEP) and foreign economic activity (FEA) of the region, the issues of the geopolitical activity impact on the FEP and FEA remain unexplored. In this article, an attempt is made to identify such problems and find options for its development on the example of the Baltic Sea region. Taking into account statistical data, it was concluded that local and regional trends of economic integration in the Baltic region are inferior to global geopolitical trends, however, at the same time, their potential still remains.
