The study investigates the dynamics of religiosity in Krasnodar Territory during the Khrushchev anti-religious campaign. To describe the religiosity of the population, the number of Orthodox rites such as baptisms, church weddings, and funerals should be considered. The paper presents statistical data on the religious rites performed in 1957-1964 on the territory under review. In the struggle with the Orthodox traditions, the Soviet authorities started to develop and implement civil rites. First of all, it is referred to the solemn registration of marriage and newborns. In Krasnodar Territory, the first ceremonial registration of newborns took place in early 1963. The statistical data presented allowed us to conclude that the introduction of new civil traditions could not eliminate religious rites from the life of believers.
