About possibility of the use of 1,3; 1,6-β-D-glucans from brown algae for early exposure of viroid infection in potato

The balance of the work is presented on the testing of the effect of 1,3;1,6-β-D-glucans obtained by enzymatic transformation of laminaran from Laminaria cichorioides on infection progress due to viroid of spindle-shaped potato tuber (VSPT). The authors estimates the efficiency of different preparations of 1,3;1,6-β-D-glucans for early exposure of VSPT symptoms. The method of culling of ill plants was developed and approved on sowing of seed selectional potato varieties in Khabarovsk region. It was shown, that these preparations favor the viroid propagation and lead to early exposure of disease symptoms. The relationship between biological action of β-D-glucans and their chemical structure was shown. The field testing supports the promising of β-D-glucans usage for early exposure of latent viroid infection in potato.
