The problems of native small nations of the North (NSNN) are analyzed in this article. Their small number, specificity of their settlings and life mode, when under a destructive influence of social-economic and ecological factors, threaten their life and cultural heritage preservation. The situation is especially dramatic for the children as a link in the generations' lifestyle continuity. The author underlines the necessity of health programs, and education based on their native culture. It is also necessary to revise the existing and develop the new normative -legal base, providing the natives with an appropriate social infrastructure and attracting the government and social organizations to protection of these unique social groups and their traditional way of life.
