On the protection of victims rights through the prism of reconciliation

Based on the legal basis of the activities of state institutions of human rights Commissioners, this article proposes to consider the problems of protecting the rights of victims of crime. Taking into account the competence and role of the Commissioner for human rights, the author presents a number of proposals on the activities of the Commissioner for human rights in the mediation procedure related to the Institute of reconciliation in criminal law. The analysis of statistical data is presented. It is concluded that the development of conciliation procedures in pre-trial proceedings, which will allow victims of crime to play a more active role in protecting their rights in the criminal process.
