About health cults of the roman army in western part of the empire in the I–III centuries

The Article is dedicated to the problem of the spiritual appeal of the warriors of the Roman army in the I-III centuries concerning the recovery from wounds and injuries. The mentioned sources confirm that the western part of the Roman Empire did not have, unlike the eastern part, special health cults. The most different gods performed the functions of healing gods in Italy and in the West. Those few inscriptions, which are dedicated to Asclepius and Hygia are put either in Dacia, which was the border province between the west and the east, or by the immigrants from the eastern provinces, served in the western part of the Empire, and by praetorians in Rome, who were recruited from the eastern and, first of all, Balkan, provinces since the time of Tiberias
