The article studies genre diversity of TV programs as specific text types, analyzes the problem of television and culture, as well as its positioning in this integrated system relevant for the accumulation of social experience, the links of mass media with different types of culture and art. The analysis involves the processes of modernization of the modern media environment and mass media, we propose a new methodological approach to the realization of reforms in connection with the unfolding digital revolution and new Information Society.
