About the meaning of morality in the prevention of women's crime

The article discusses the main reasons for the existence of female crime today, as well as proposals for the most effective measures to prevent this type of crime. Since generally applicable approaches in the work on the prevention of women’s crime are only partially acceptable. Both in the field of preventive activity among the female population of the country, and in the implementation of measures of a private preventive nature when working with a contingent of female criminals, a special system of techniques, principles, approaches is needed, taking into account both the social, physiological, and moral and psychological characteristics of a woman. To date, unfortunately, there are no real programs and comprehensive methodological developments in this area, apart from individual works by scientists and practitioners devoted to the problem of female crime and containing some suggestions for solving this problem. When organizing activities to prevent crimes committed by women, it is necessary to take a special approach that takes into account the gender dimension. First of all, this refers to general prevention, which is inconceivable without strengthening the moral principles in the upbringing of a girl, preparing her for the role of mother and spouse, instilling in her an understanding of her special role in life and the female qualities corresponding to it. The author concludes that there is a need for state wide legal (including victimological) education of the population.
