On the importance of departmental procedural control at the final stage of the preliminary investigation

Introduction: in the article the author analyses the definition of departmental procedural control, draws attention to the unjustified distribution of powers of subjects of departmental procedural control at the considered stage, suggests possible ways of solving this problem. Argues for the need for a unified (regardless of the type of proceedings) procedure for sending criminal cases to court, which provides for the mandatory approval of the decision of the investigator (inquiry officer) by the procedural director.
