On the efficiency of certain organizational-legal measures to attract citizens to the public order protection

Introduction: the article examines the main problems associated with attracting citizens to the public order protection, as well as the basic organizational and legal measures aimed at attracting of the population to the public order protection. Materials and methods: the normative basis of the research is formed by federal and regional legal acts regulating the participation of citizens in the public order protection. The methodological basis of the study was the general dialectical method of scientific knowledge, which is universal in nature, the methods of logical deduction, induction, cognitive methods, comparison, analysis, synthesis and description. Results of the study made possible to formulate recommendations and proposals aimed at attracting citizens to the public order protection and public safety protection. Summary and conclusions: to solve the problem of attracting citizens to the the public order protection a set of organizational and legal measures is required: constant informing of the population (about the availability of opportunities to participate in the the public order protection, benefits and guarantees, the most significant results) and popularization of this type of socially useful activity (billboards, competitions, participation of the most famous officials of the municipality), improvement of the current legislation, improvement of the material and social status of persons participating in the the public order protection.
