About the effectiveness of Basel III in the conditions of crisis sings in the economy and the development of measures for their elimination

The paper considers the current results of the implementation in the Russian banking system The Basel III International Regulatory Framework, its impact on the stability of the banking sector in the conditions of crisis and prolonged macroeconomic instability. It is concluded that the slowdown in lending became the result of the introduction of Basel III, and it is unable to ensure the stability of the banking sector only by compliance with the provisions of Basel III, so it is need to adapt these provisions to the current conditions of functioning of the banking sector and the Russian economy.
