Electronic documents in pre-trial criminal proceedings

Introduction: the author considers the possibility of the usage of electronic documents in the pre-trial proceedings, gives their own definition of an electronic document in the pre-trial proceedings, and electronic documents classification. Materials and Methods: the methodology of the study were methods of systematization and processing of information, analysis of legislation, deduction and induction. The material basis of the study were works of scientists-processualists devoted to the problems of implementation in the criminal process of electronic criminal cases, electronic document management and electronic documents. Results: the author concludes that it is necessary to use electronic documents in the pre-trial proceedings, classifies them and gives their own definition of electronic documents. Discussion and Conclusions: the introduction of an electronic document in pre-trial criminal proceedings will facilitate the introduction of electronic proceedings in criminal cases.
