A characteristic of the microthesaurus of the economics of the Agro-Industrial Complex, which is a component of the Information-Retrieval Thesaurus of Agriculture and Food is given. The peculiarities of creating and enriching the content of the microthesaurus in new vocabulary are disclosed. The significance of the microthesaurus for editing and updating the base Information-Retrieval Thesaurus in regard of terminology for agricultural economics and food industry is shown.
