United Europe: a challenge of illegal migration

This article concerns one of the crucial issues of the European policy - illegal migration. Its reasons, consequences and interaction mechanisms of member states are analyzed in solution of the problem. The structure and main trends in activities of states and the EU specialized institutes are researched. As a result the author comes to a decision on the fact that the efforts undertaken by some of them are not enough in the struggle with illegal immigration and that the mandate of the other ones should be broaden. The influence of consequences of illegal immigration on the European security and integration is considered. In the article the week aspects of migration policies are revealed that have become the reason of existing social and cultural tension and the actions to exit from the current situation are proposed.
