The points of strategic management on the regional level connected with understanding of state power by population, political image of the region are considered in the article. It is inadmissible to restrict only to social and economic issues in the course of regional development strategy formulation. It is necessary to raise political problems, attract party resources, professional political analysis. The solution of this problem is traced after the example of the united Krasnoyarsk Region.
