Upon the review of the data from Russian Federation State Archives, this paper considered issues of ensuring a secure forwarding of collected cash by railroad of the Russian Empire. The author has drawn attention to inter-agency specifics of that operation. Documents that have been practically unknown for a wider audience enter the academic intercourse.
