The article reveals the existing approaches to the development of criteria, the comparison of which allows an analysis of the effectiveness of implemented measures aimed at the formation of patriotism in children and adolescents. Based on these criteria, it is proposed to form a full-fledged mechanism that allows evaluating qualitative changes in both individuals and groups of students in order to analyze the effectiveness of patriotic education.
