In recent decades, the main regions of oil and gas production have become the northern - the most remote regions of the country, characterized by extreme climatic conditions - low temperatures, high levels of humidity, salinity and acidity of soils with virtually no transport infrastructure, which has led to a sharp increase in the cost of delivery, installation, operation and repairs of the main and auxiliary equipment fi elds, which brings forward new ones – increased requirements for the quality and reliability of machines, mechanisms, and building structures used in the Arctic and Subarctic regions. The requirements for improving the reliability of building structures, reducing the costs of transportation, installation and maintenance make it extremely attractive to use piles, beams, pipes made of polymer composite materials (PCM) in the development of deposits, however, by now there is almost no regulatory and technical framework regulating the operation of PCM products in the northern regions. First, this is due to the insuffi cient study of the problems of reliability, operability and durability of PCM in conditions of aggressive external exposure to climatic factors, which does not allow us to determine the quality indicators of PCM construction products. In this work, studies have been conducted to reduce the quality of foundation piles made of PCM under the infl uence of low climatic temperatures in the winter months, multiple temperature transitions through zero, and elevated salt levels in the air and soil. By measuring methods for determining product quality indicators, an assessment of a decrease in product quality under the infl uence of external geo-climatic factors was carried out and it was shown that the most signifi cant factors affecting the decrease in the quality of PCM building structures are increased salt concentration and the thermocyclic effects of the transition of ambient temperature through zero.
