In this paper we have studied the possibility of the provision of theoretical readiness of a student to work in a team by enriching of the content of vocational education with the material keeping up to date a motivational and value attitude of students to team activity, based on the positive motives to choose the form of joint activity, the total of the system of knowledge about teamwork and skills that allow facilitating and accumulating practical experience of teamwork while realizing the results of activity as an intellectual product of a team for the formation of the competence of a student to work in a team.
