The sustainability of the federal budget and conducting active stimulus state fiscal policy

The article discusses the opportunities and challenges of stable economic growth at the current level of government spending and the budget policy in the Russian Federation. The author analyzes the two opposing and most discussed points of view on the conditions for economic development in the country, the balance of the federal budget, the directions of active stimulating fiscal policy and the current budget rule. In addition, the article deals with the efficiency of spending from the federal budget and potential changes in expenditure items that could lead to positive changes in the Russian economy.
