The application scope of the French standards SEDA and MEDONA regulating the data exchange in electronic archives

The article is devoted to the research in the field of archival storage of electronic documents, in particular, the issue of regulation of electronic archival documents transactions. The author refers to the experience of French archivists who created the data exchange standards for archiving - SEDA and NF Z44-022 MEDONA. The paper outlines the application scope of these regulatory documents, describes the potential users. Such aspects as effective modeling of the electronic data exchange and creating of “archiving profiles" are also discussed.
