Justification and formation of the master's degree program content for the educational direction 43.04.02 «Tourism»

In the last 10 years the structure of educational process in Russian Federation has changed dramatically. Training departments were differentiated and new government standards of higher education were approved. These reformations considerably changed contemporary standards of Russian education. Getting of Master's Degree after getting Bachelor's Degree is the important issue in conditions of double-level system of higher education. The demand of Master's programs in the market of educational services of Russian Federation has increased. Therefore a new system "Bachelor's Degree - Master's Degree - PHD programs - Doctorate" has formed. Training directions of the humanities department fulfill different educational programs of Master's Degree, including the Kuban State University of Physical Education Sports and Tourism. Before the beginning of 2014-2015 academic year the standard of educational direction "Tourism" (43.04.02) was not approved. Nevertheless the graduates of 2014 year were interested in acquisition of Master's Degree. The decree form August 21, 2015 № 837 «About confirmation of the government standard of higher education in tourism department (Master's Degree)» was released. It was enregistered on September 1, number 38753 by the Ministry of Justice of Russian Federation. According to a new approved standard of 2015 a possibility to satisfy the educational services market demands with Master's Degree training programs in Tourism direction appeared.
