It presents discussion on scientific and technical problems of rational use of spatial resources steeply dipping deposits in open-pit mineМuruntau. This work discuss basis of following directions for use and functional purpose of the formation of technogenicdeposit in open-pit development: storage rocks, providesecurity works, stabilization of technological processes, formation of structural elements of open-pit mine. Based on analysis of use of technology external and internal dumping in opencast mining in the development of steep deposits installed,that formation of external and internal dumps should occur in a coordinated manner with the development of opencast goaf. The introduction of received results allow to improve efficiency of development of mineral potential with production increase of high liquidity on the world market and improvement of technical and economic parameters of mining operations.
